How do I get to Hiriketiya Beach?
Getting to Hiriketiya is straightforward from major hubs like Colombo or Galle.
Hiriketiya Beach is located on Sri Lanka's south coast. From Colombo, the fastest way is to hire a private taxi via the Southern Expressway, which takes about 2.5 to 3 hours. Alternatively, you can take a train from Colombo Fort to Beliatta (the closest major station) and then take a short tuk-tuk ride to Hiriketiya. If you are coming from Galle or Mirissa, you can easily catch a local bus heading east along the coastal road, or hire a tuk-tuk for a more direct journey.
